Global Learning Expert Centre

In recognition of the excellent global learning and international links we have, Granton Primary School has been designated as a 'Global Learning Expert Centre'; as part of our commitment to sharing excellent practice in weaving global learning into the curriculum in a meaningful way, Granton established a hugely successful network of 16 partner schools with whom Granton worked to develop global learning in schools across London.

The course leaders, Cordelia Cooper and Sophy Silverstein, tailored the training to suit schools' current positions on global learning. Themes included Philosophy For Children, challenging stereotypes, diversity, social justice, obtaining the International Schools Award and working with schools abroad etc.

The aim has been that Granton has contributed towards the creation of a network of like-minded schools, committed to equipping their students to make a positive contribution to a globalised world by helping teachers to deliver effective teaching and learning about development and global issues from Early Years to KS3.
