After School Club Information 2023/2024

After School Clubs (ASC) for Terms 1&2 – 2023/2024

Important Information

  • ASC sign up will be on Saturday 16th September 2023.
  • All clubs for KS1 and KS2 will go live at 6:00pm
  • As it is crucial for Reception to settle into their new classes, there will be no clubs for Reception

children this term. Clubs for Reception should commence in the Spring Term.

  • ASCs start week beginning Monday 18th September and finish the week ending Friday 8th

           December 2023.

  • There will be no ASCs on Tuesday 17th October and Thursday 19th October due to Parents’

Evenings on these dates. This has been taken into account for the prices of clubs.

  • If any club sessions need to be cancelled, we will strive to provide replacement sessions on the

week commencing Monday 11th December 2023. If this is not possible, we will let you know.

Booking

You will be able to book your child into a club via the ParentMail app under Payments > Shop on Saturday 16th September 2023 at 6:00pm. You can go to https://www.grantonprimary.org.uk/After-School-Club-Information/ and have a look at the ASC timetable.

Please remember there are limited spaces for each club, please do not rely on these clubs for childcare purposes, and use waiting lists online if the required club is full.

ParentMail

By paying online through ParentMail you will automatically be agreeing to the After School Club Late pick up fees, Behaviour and Responsibilities Contract, which can be found on the school website.

Please make sure you update all your contact, collection and medical details through the school office or via email: admin1@grantonprimary.org.uk.

For any further information please visit the school website: www.grantonprimary.org.uk

Snacks

Please provide your child/ren with a small snack in line with the school’s healthy eating policy. This should be eaten before the club starts. Please do not send any products that contain nuts as we have pupils with severe nut allergies.

After School Club

Late pick up fees, refunds, behaviour and responsibilities

In the unfortunate event that clubs must be cancelled, we will inform you via ParentMail, so please ensure the school office has up-to-date contact details for you. Any cancellations will be refunded via ParentMail or fulfilled at a later date. We will let you know which via ParentMail.

We want our children at Granton to thrive, learn new skills and have fun at our after-school clubs, therefore it is necessary for us to outline what is expected from all.

Behaviour

  • The children are expected to always maintain good behaviour and attitude towards each other and staff.
  • Staff are to maintain their highest level of professionalism and standards whether a direct Granton employee or contracted by the school.
  • Parents/Carers are expected to uphold the Parent/Carer Code of Conduct signed by every parent/carer.
  • Parents/Carers must ensure their Child is collected on time for each session; this also applies to any persons collecting your child on your behalf.

No adults are allowed on site during any of the after-school clubs. All parents/carers are to wait at the Farmhouse Road gate near reception for collection. This is to create a safe and controlled environment for the safety of all children on the premises.

If behaviour from the Children or Parents/Carers is unsatisfactory, the Child’s place in any club will be withdrawn, without refund.

If you have any queries about any issues regarding the after-school clubs run at Granton please contact asc@grantonprimary.org.uk

Late Collection of Children from After School Clubs

It is an important term and condition of service that you collect your child(ren) on time after they have finished their after school club.

Late collection has an impact on both children and club and school staff.

Granton Primary School understands that parents/carers may occasionally find it impossible to collect their child(ren) on time, due to unforeseen circumstances, however this will result in additional late fees.

There is a late payment fee of £10.00 per child for the first 10 minutes. For collection more than 10 minutes late, you will be charged £5.00 every 5 minutes thereafter.

The late payment fee should be paid on collection of your child(ren) or before 2:00pm the following day. Failure to make payment will result in your child(ren) being unable to attend any other afterschool club until payment has been made in full.

Regular late collection

If you are late collecting your child(ren) more than 3 times within a term for one club, this will result in your child(ren) having their space withdrawn from this specific club without a refund.

Inclusion at ASCs

We do not want any child to miss enrichment opportunities especially in the light of the current financial climate. Therefore, if your child is in receipt of FSM or your child meets the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) criteria, is a Young Carer, a Looked After Child or Post LAC, please make direct contact via admin1@grantonprimary.org.uk (Subject: After School Clubs) to ask for a confidential conversation about this with Ms Griffiths.
