Global Learning & International Links
Granton is proud to have established a number of global and international links which we use to support not only children's knowledge and understanding of the world around them, local and global, but also to develop staff language skills.
Granton's global learning and international links include, but are not limited to:
- Granton-Chamwino partnership: 3 years of British Council funding allowed us to develop a reciprocal partnership with Chamwino Primary School in Dodoma, Tanzania.
-
Funding from the European Union has enabled us to develop reciprocal partnerships with schools in France, Finland and Portugal.
- Funding from the British Council has enabled us to send groups of staff to Bordeaux and Nice during the school holidays to develop their French language skills.
Granton's commitment to global learning was also recognised in our status as a 'Global Learning Expert Centre' in which we establish a very successful network of 16 partner schools with whom we worked to develop global learning across Lambeth and London.
The impact of our international links on our children's s learning meant that we were the proud recipients of the British Council's ‘International School Award’ in 2014 and we look forward to continuing to develop our global links around the world at Granton.
