Granton bags PDQM Gold!

The Quality Mark Award Panel recently sent its  congratulations to the Granton family on achieving the Quality Mark Gold Award.  This recognises that professional learning "is a strength within your school."

Professional Development practice is embedded in all four key aspects of the Professional Development Quality Mark framework:

 Leadership of Professional development

  • High Quality Professional Development
  • Evaluating the Impact of Professional Development
  • Collaboration and Partnerships supporting Professional Development

 The assessor also wrote:

"The Gold Quality Mark Award is valid for three years (December 2017 - December 2020).  After this date, you will need to re-apply to seek verification of professional development within your school. However, the Award Panel felt that on the strength of your gold submission and the evidence presented during the verification visit, you would be eligible to apply for the PDQM Platinum Award 18-24 months from now should you wish to.

Also in recognition of the strength of her leadership of CPD, Granton's deputy headteacher Ms Corbett has also been offered to become a quality-assured-verifier and carry out future verification visits in other schools. This, the PDQM says, will ensure the quality of professional development can continue to rise across London and that they also see this as an exciting development opportunity for professional development leads who are already demonstrating excellent practice.

Many congratulations to Ms Corbett and all Granton Staff for your strong commitment to learning!
